I am so excited to welcome you to the start of my brand new podcast ‘Money Making Women’ And what better subject to start us off with than ‘what does it mean to be a money making woman’? Believe me when I say, people get all kinds of wrong impressions when they hear that I’m a money coach who encourages women to make more money. So let’s get it out in the open. Let’s bust some myths and let’s make it as clear as we can that money does not automatically equal greed, sleaze and all the bad things.

QUOTES

“I realised that making money came easily to me at some point, and I've realised since that that wasn't the case for so many people.”

“What's interesting is that when we are offended by the idea of women making money, we are saying a lot with our offence”

“Money is both an object in that we can hold it - and it's an idea”

“What are we saying about the idea of creating wealth, creating money, earning money through our businesses when we presume that behind that, is greed?”

“I really think that making money is imperative. The reason I think that is the same way that if you have an itch in yourself to create something, or a desire to write a book or create a painting or to do a certain job or role, I think it's important that you follow through on those desires. Because I don't believe we have those desires by accident, but money is so bundled up in so many things that we start to tell ourselves that it can't be like that with money.”

“We are given these very limited ideas of what wealthy women can look like. Often, not like us at all or, nothing at all. My deep hope is in all of this is that we see the world through an intersectional feminist lens”

“Being a Money Making Women means bringing your whole self, your communities and your experiences into your money making”
