Episode 69: Lessons from Sticky Times

Over the last 18 months my business has been going through some huge shifts. You may have seen me mention this before – I’ve talked a lot about the exciting bits of it, like new messaging that gets really specific on what I do, the new offers that have come from it like my hybrid program Real You Real Money, a new confidence in saying that a money revolution is exactly what we need right now (yesterday, even!).

What I haven’t talked about as much yet, is everything that's happened over the past year that led up to these discoveries. It’s been a sticky time, and I wanted to give you a behind the scenes look through this episode. Listen in as I share the 4 lessons I’ve taken from my growing pains, which are to:

  • Get crystal clear on what you do

  • Getting your message out to the world... on repeat, even!

  • Invest in people who can help (and trust yourself to do so)

  • Be persistent as you learn to take up your space

Tune in for all the details!

And if you’re ready for support, check out Real You Real Money, which is a hybrid of 1:1 coaching, group coaching/community, and e-learning. Take a look here: https://www.raydodd.co.uk/real-you-real-money

QUOTES

“Try to own that whatever you can. Apologise and hold your hands up and say, I'm sorry I messed up”. That's what we are looking for. We’re not looking for people who never do anything that's considered unethical because the line on that changes all the time.”

“We want people who will continue to evolve. We want people who will treat other humans as humans. If you are tying yourself up in knots to the point that you are not even showing up around these things, you can trust yourself a lot more than you're letting yourself.”

“Get crystal clear on your message, get crystal clear on your purpose. If anything in your business is confusing you, it's confusing other people too.”

“We feel like we have to earn money by being new and exciting all the time. We're terrified of annoying someone, terrified of turning them off, and I think some imposter syndrome comes in here: ‘what if they think I've got nothing to say?”

“You can't force those ‘aha’ moments. You can't force those moments where something drops from your head into your heart or just changes the shape of your brain cause you just can't unsee it anymore.”
