Episode 39: You Cannot Charge Your Worth
I'll say it again: you cannot charge your worth. Controversial maybe, but I honestly believe that understanding this will release you to start making MORE money!
Linking your worth to your moneymaking can actually keep you stuck, particularly if you’re someone who isn’t able to see their own worth. You may end up in a space where you’re convinced you need to be perfect before you are deserving of money… not a great place to be!
Everyone’s understanding of their own worth will be different depending on their own obstacles; the body you were born into, the level of support and encouragement you’ve received, your own self-doubt, it’s all dependent on the social conditioning that surrounds you.
If society has taught you that you’re not good enough (and you so clearly ARE…), then how on earth can you ‘charge your worth’?
You don’t have to have a complete understanding of your worth in order to be worthy of making money. You don’t have to have confidence, you have to have courage.
Listen to this episode for some tips on how to know and understand your conditioning, and still make money as the imperfect, in progress, wonderfully messy human that you are!

QUOTES
“Someone says, ‘you just need to charge your worth,’ and you think, ‘oh my God, I don't know my worth!’. It becomes a stick to beat yourself with…and we want those sticks. I know that sounds weird, but we're comfortable with it. We're comfortable with believing we're not good enough. Our brain attaches to and thrives on what is familiar to it.”
“I feel like this idea of ‘charge your worth’ feeds into this idea of once we've arrived, once we are complete. It feeds into this idea that we have to be perfect. We have to be done. And when we achieve that, we'll get money as our reward. It's just not the case. I want to encourage you to make money with all your parts, all your imperfections.”
“You don't have to deserve money. The richest people in the world do not deserve that wealth. What is ‘deserving for you’ is often a far higher bar than for a lot of other people.”
